‘Blue Chip Stock’: Permanent seat licenses still a good investment
CHARLOTTE — This time last year, the stock market was hurting, bailouts were being tossed around and consumer spending had dropped. But the Panthers were off to a great start, eventually going 8-0 at home. As Panther pride climbed, so did ticket sales, making Permanent Seat Licenses (PSLs) for games at Bank of America Stadium an even better investment.But according to Forbes’ team valuation, the Carolina Panthers have never had back-to-back winning seasons, which doesn’t bode well for turnout this year. Add the recession to the mix and PSLs, which can cost anywhere from less than $1,500 to more than $15,000 depending on where they are purchased, start looking like a hard sell.
